At the Edge of 20

This is merely a compilation of poetry I have written over the past two years. The book is divided into two chapters. With the second chapter, I wanted to portray the relationship that humankind has with death. We are all connected to death, either through the people who have already crossed the line, or with the inevitability of us crossing the line

Death impacts our lives more than we think it does, hence it is such a heavy topic to generally talk about. Like with religion, we are all trying to be on the safe side because, in reality, no one really knows when the bridge behind you burns, and you'd have already crossed. We try to build memories with people, or we avoid to, in hope that we get to remembered. I have read somewhere that humans write their names on desk and tree barks because they are all scared to not matter and to be easily forgotten.
